This case was filed by the Karas of Chettikulangara when the Division Bench of the High Court of Kerala has directed the Devaswom Board to constitute a Temple Advisory Committee in Chettikulangara temple without taking into consideration the special situation that exist in that temple where Sreedevi Vilasam Hindu Matha Convention (herein after called the convention) which is constituted as early as 1957 and acting as the apex body of the 13 karas
which are performing the entire rituals of the temple except the daily poojas. The petition was disposed with direction to maintain status quo as of the day shall be maintained.

This case is filed by the Travancore devaswom board seeking permission to amend the clause 5 of the bye law for constituting the temple advisory committee of the Chettikulangara devi temple. The board proposed to resolve issue in the temple by constituting a committee under bye laws of the Travancore- Cochin Hindu Religious Institution Act in order to ensure participation of Hindu devotees after dissolving the existing system. The karas approached supreme court and obtained order to maintain status quo.

The High Court as per the order dated 24.06.2013 in DBP No.208 of 2012 issued direction to the Devaswom Board to have proper supervision in the matters connecting with the Temple tank of Mookambika Saraswathi Temple, North Paravur and to reconstruct the steps which were demolished in the same place. These stones of the steps removed have been kept idle and the steps are not reconstructed.The Board is directed to ensure that the footsteps of the Temple pond are restored at its earlier position without causing any change to its area and extent of the pond.

Property having an extent of 1.16 Acres situated in Survey No.193/5 of Thrippangottu Village belongs to Eranjikkath Subrahmanya Swami Temple and it is so stated in all revenue records including the settlement register. But the entire property is now been encroached except a small portion in which the Eranjikkath Temple is situated. This temple is one of the last number of temple attacked and destroyed by Tippu Sulthan. The petitioner trust is now formed for renovation of this temple. But, several documents have been executed by the party respondents and their predecessors involving the property of Sree Iranjikkath Sree Subrahmanya Swami Temple.

The writ is being filed seeking to direct the authoritities to protect the land of the minor deity of Eranjikkath Sree Subrahmanya Swami Temple having an extent of 1.16 Acres of land situated in Survey No.193/5 of Triprangodu Village of Tirur Taluk in Malappuram District and maintain the same by evicting all encroachers and take such appropriate steps to secure the above said property by protecting it from encroachers and to take adequate step to ensure that above said property having extent 1.16 Acres of land situated in Survey No.193/5 of Triprangodu Village of Tirur Taluk in Malappuram District which belongs to Eranjikkath Sree Subrahmanya Swami Temple of Triprangodu Village is exclusively being used for temple purposes alone.

The Kalarivathikkal Bhadrakali Temple is part of Chirakkal Kovilakam Devaswom and is now being managed by the Malabar Devaswom. The property having an extent of 4.40 acres of land in resurveyNo.57/3 belongs to Kalarivathikkal Devaswom and in the settlement register it is recorded as such. So the property which is known as Arattuvayal is part and parcel of the temple and the main ritual of Aratt is performed there. But encroachers have created some false documents and claimed right over the portion of the property and have encroached into the same, and at present are occupying the same and making some constructions therein.

this writ petition is disposed of leaving open the legal and factual contentions raised by the petitioner and by recording the submission made by the Chirakkal Kovilakam Devaswom that the Devaswom will challenge the judgment and decree of the Sub Court, Kannur in A.S.No.97 of 2017 by invoking the provisions under Section 100 of the Code and that it shall diligently prosecute A.A.No.85 of 2011 pending before the Appellate Authority, Kannur against the purchase certificate issued by the Land Tribunal, Kannur in O.A.No.2208 of 1976 and the Devaswom to take necessary steps to ensure expeditious consideration of A.A.No.85 of 2011 approaching the competent forum if
necessary.

Thali Maha Siva Kshetra was in existence till 1996 which was situated in the property having an extent of 2.15 acres situated in Survey No.79-1/B (Re-survey No.57/4) of Maranchery village. In all the revenue records the above said property is recorded as the property of Guruvayoor Devaswom wherein Thali Siva temple is situated. In the settlement register the property is recorded as Thali Ambalaparambu owned by Guruvayoor Devaswom. Subsequent to 1996 the Mounathul Islam Sabha has taken the possession of this property and constructed a compound wall. Till that time Thalappoli vilakku of Mukkolamthazhathu Rudhiramala Bhagavathi temple used to start from this Thali Siva temple which was situated in that property. At the time of construction of the compound wall though the devotees objected to this, the Mounathul Islam Sabha utilizing its political influence of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) suppressed all these protests and compound wall was constructed. Subsequently they have demolished the temple and the deity Sivalinga of the temple is still there in that property the picture of which was taken by the petitioner through google earth on 20.11.2023.

The case is filed for getting the judgment in O.S No. 491/1922 of Munsiff Court Ponnani, O.S No. 466/1918 of Munsiff Court Ponnani ,O.S No. 199/1920 of Munsiff Court Ponnani and A.S No. 87/1924 of Sub Court Ottappalam. But it was orally informed by the registry of Munsiff Court Ponnani that as per the directions of the High Court, they are not in a position to give the copies and also submitted that copies are not legible. In O.S No. 466/1918, O.S No. 491/1922 ,O.S.No.199/1918 and A.S No. 87/1924 application was submitted on 11.04.2024. But till date certified copies are not given to the petitioner so it is highly necessary to direct the registry of Munsiff Court Ponnani and Sub Court Ottappalam to give the certified copies of Judgment in O.S No. 491/1922 of Munsiff Court Ponnani, O.S No. 466/1918 of Munsiff Court Ponnani , O.S No. 199/1920 of Munsiff Court Ponnani and A.S No. 87/1924 of Sub Court Ottappalam. These cases are contested in related to the thali siva kshetram.

the writ is filed on backdrop of learning that that the encroachers have started constructing a mosque after demolishing the temple that was in existence. the construction almost reached in its final stage and from the information given by the Panchayathh it can be seen that the construction has been made even without getting building permit. the main reliefs sought through the writ are directions to authorities to take appropriate action to evict the encroachment of the Mounathul Islam Sabha from the property having an extent of 2.15 acres situated in Survey No.79-1/B (Resurvey No.57/4) of Maranchery village belongs to Guruvayoor Devaswom where Thali temple was situated and reconstruct the Thali temple demolished by the Mounathul Islam Sabha at its cost and direction to the Maranchery Panchayathh not to issue building permit to the Mounathul Islam Sabha in pursuant to application for constructing a mosque in the property of Guruvayoor Devaswom situated in Survey No.79-1/B (Re-survey No.57/4) of Maranchery village and stop the illegal construction being made by the Mounathul Islam Sabha without building permit forthwith.

Vettakkaran Kavu Temple is controlled and administered by Cochin Devaswom Board under Pazhayannur Devaswom. Pazhayanuur Devi Temple is also situated adjacent to this temple. The property having an extent of 48 Cents situated in Survey No. 1086/1 of Pazhayannur Village belongs to Pazhayannur Devaswom. There are two temples namely Pazhayannur Devi Temple as well as Vettakkarankavu Temple. Moolasthaanam of the above temple is situated in the above Survey Numbers.

This writ petition was filed praying to direct the authorities to protect the land of the minor deities Goddess Devi of Pazhayannur Devi Temple and Vettaikaran Kavu Temple having an extent of 48 cents of land situated in Survey No.1086/1 of Pazhayannur Village belonging to the Pazhayannur Devi Temple and Vettaikaran Kavu Temple of Pazhayannur Devaswom under Cochin Devaswom Board and maintain the same by evicting the encroachers and take such appropriate steps to secure the above said property by protecting it from encroachers and to take adequate step to ensure that above said property having extent of 48 cents of land situated in Survey No. 1086/1 in Pazhayannur Village is exclusively being used for temple purposes alone. The writ petition is allowed and authorities 4 are directed to take steps as envisaged under the provisions of the Kerala Land Conservancy Act to establish its right and retrieve possession of the properties comprised in Sy.No.1086/1 of Pazhayannur Village belonging to Pazhayannur Devaswom.

Sree Kavaloor Annapoorneswary Temple which is a temple coming under Thiruvaloor Devaswom managed by Malabar Devaswom Board. There are actually 2 temples. One is situated in Survey No.89/1 and other is situated in Survey No.89/3. The temple pond is situated in between this which is having an extent of 1.92 Acres. The above said pond is recorded as temple pond in the settlement register and the manager of the property is shown as Poomullimanakkal Thrivikraman Nampoothirpppad who was the Oraalan of the temple
