The case is filed on the backdrop that an Ashtamangalya prasnam was conducted in which it has come out that the functioning of the quarry is seriously affecting the divinity of the temple and the deity has expressed his desire to take appropriate steps to see that the functioning of the quarry is not affecting the temple and the buildings of the worshippers who are residing around the temple. But in spite of this specific finding in the Ashtamangalya prasnam and also the fact that at present the temple is in possession of only 95 cents, the Devaswom Board has not taken any steps whatsoever to see that the functioning of the illegal quarry stopped and the structural stability of the temple is protected. Recently even the Peedom of the deity was broken because of the explosion and the Thanthri has changed the same sponsored by a devotee.
