Malabar devaswom board Commissioner has issued a circular directing the temples under the Board to contribute fixed amounts to the ‘Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund thereby forcefully making the temples to contribute amounts irrespective of the financial viability and the surplus if any in the running of the respective temples.

The temples contributed 18 crores and the High Court directed refund of the entire amount.
