Guruvayoor Devaswom board has decided to contribute Rs.10 Crores to the ‘Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund and contributed the above amount in total violation of the provisions of the Guruvayoor Devaswom Act. The Full Bench of the Kerala High Court has declared that the funds belong to the deity and since the Board is only a trustee managing the affairs of the deity has no power to make such contribution.
